Easier way to lodge and pay

CHANGES to the Corporations Act have come into effect that make it easier for companies to comply with company lodgement and compliance procedures.

One of the main changes is that companies are no longer required to lodge an annual return with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.

Instead, companies will review their details against information sent to them by ASIC. This annual statement will be sent within two weeks of each company’s review dates – usually the anniversary of their registration.

If there are no changes to this information at annual review time, companies will not be required to lodge any paperwork.

The annual return fee has been replaced with an annual review fee. To help companies pay this fee ASIC has kindly introduced more payment options.
