Perth-based IT services provider ASG Group is pleased to announce that it has secured contracts with a total value of approximately $75 million.

The multi-year, multi-million dollar contracts are with a range of existing and new customers including Multiplex,Virgin Blue, Ericsson/Hutch and Inpex.

The contracted government customers also include the West Australian Department of Corrective Services.

ASG Managing Director Geoff Lewis said the additional contracts demonstrated the ability of the Company to secure contracts at the highest level of the corporate and government sectors.

"These new contracts demonstrate ASG's ability to secure extension contracts with existing blue chip clients in the corporate and government sectors," said Mr Lewis.

"Our cumulative revenue business model is built around developing long-term relationships with our customers and we are delighted with the size and task of these new contracts."

"Of the $75 million, about one third is from additional services and extensions to existing contracts.

This ongoing business has made a significant contribution to our growth and secured ASG's long term annuity position in these chosen markets," he said.

The new contracts include:

  • Provision of IT services support to Dell Australia on new CSIRO contract
  • Provision of Oracle and general IT support to Multiplex
  • Project engagements with Ericsson/Hatch across ITSM and Microsoft platforms
  • Nominated preferred partner for Virgin Blue for Oracle services
  • 3 year contract for provision of project services to WA Department of Corrective Services
  • 2 year contract (with option extensions) for provision of project services to LNG project developer Inpex.

ASG recently reported a net profit after tax of $4.2 million for the six months to 31 December 2007, an increase of 46% over the previous year.

The record result was produced from revenue of $51 million, an increase of 54% over the first half of last year.

EBITDA also grew strongly, up 70% to $7.2 million from $4.1 million previously.

Mr Lewis said the outlook for ASG was very healthy, with half on half growth in revenue and earnings expected for the second half of the 2008 financial year.

"We are looking forward with confidence to a very strong second half to the 2008 financial year and the outlook for the 2009 year looks equally promising," he said.
