Canstar Cannex has named ANZ Bank as the financial institution offering the best value to small business in 2010.
Canstar Cannex financial analyst Peter Arnold said ANZ had reclaimed the award from Westpac.
"ANZ's product suite was outstanding in the areas that really matter to the business sector, these include business credit facilities, variable loans, cash management accounts and credit card options," he said.
"Not only did ANZ excel in the product category, their win was also based on outstanding service to customers - both online and face to face.
"ANZ delivered when it came to service, through its extensive branch network, specialist team of bankers and comprehensive online banking service for business."
Canstar Cannex is a finance services research and rating group providing information for over 350 institutions.
Canstar Cannex has also released its business-banking star ratings report finding small business is paying higher margins on loans and receiving less interest on their deposits compared to two years ago.
At present, Canstar Cannex, said three major banks are offering promotional interest rates for consumer deposit accounts at significantly higher rates than what is on offer for business accounts.
"This is another blow for business customers wanting to earn a little extra income from their business cash flow," Mr Arnold said.
