Automotive Holdings Group has announced the acquisition of Kewdale-based commercial vehicle outlet Diesel Motors Trucks, for approximately $6 million.
Managing director Bronte Howson said the acquisition added two established retail truck brands, Mercedes Benz Trucks and Freightliner, to AHG’s existing catalogue.
“Through this acquisition we are growing our presence in WA’s truck retailing sector and strengthening our relationship with key manufacturers,” Mr Howson said in a statement.
Mr Howson said AHG would relocate its Fuso trucks operation to the Kewdale Diesel Motors site by the end of December.
The Mercedes Benz passenger car and van franchises in Western Australia remain under the ownership of Western Pacific Automotive.
At 12:33PM (WST) AHG’s stock was down 0.95 per cent, at $2.08.
