ABC720 has overtaken Mix 94.5's The Bunch as Perth's most listened to breakfast show but the Austereo station has maintained its overall lead in the latest Nielsen Media Research radio survey.
The ratings, which recorded results in Perth from two periods, May 4 to June 7 and June 22 to July 26, showed Eoin Cameron's show on the ABC had a share of 17 per cent in the breakfast space, up 1.8 percentage points or an extra 14,000 listeners.
Ratings for The Bunch dropped 1.1 percentage points to 14.9 per cent while 92.9's Em and Whippa recorded a share of 12.7 per cent, down 0.7 per centage points.
Despite the drop in breakfast ratings, Mix 94.5 retained its overall lead rating despite dropping 0.3 percentage points to 17.1 per cent, while 92.9 came in second with 13.8 per cent.
ABC720 was third, grabbing 12.1 per cent of listeners, followed by 96fm with 10.7 per cent, 6PR with 10.3 per cent and Nova 93.7 with 10.2 per cent.
In the 9am to midday slot, ABC720 recorded a 2.2 percentage point increase to 11.3 per cent, placing it fourth behind Mix (18.3 per cent), 96fm (12.4 per cent) and 92.9 (11.5 per cent).
In the lucrative grocery buyers category, Mix 94.5 dominated with an 18.3 per cent share while ABC720 recorded a 14.1 per cent share.
6PR was third with 12.2 per cent while 92.9 rounded out the top four, recording a 10.3 per cent share.
