THE number of employed people in Western Australia grew by 5,500 in April to a seasonally adjusted 976,900, according to the latest Australian Bureau of Statistics data.
WA’s unemployment rate is equal with Victoria’s as the lowest of all States at 5.9 per cent.
The participation rate in the WA economy is the highest for any State at 66.6 per cent.
However, the ABS figures show that the number of unemployed also grew in April.
