Trish Innes became the youngest general manager of a premium CBD office tower in Australia when she was appointed as general manager of Exchange Plaza at the age of 26.
The $120 million office tower houses 35 tenants and 1,400 occupants over 34,000sq m.
When she began her role, 74 per cent of the building’s leased area was due to expire in the next four years.
Today, Ms Innes has completed negotiations that have resulted in the bulk of the building being secured in leases beyond 2010, ensuring the $120 million building is a secure investment.
Despite the tough market climate, Ms Innes’s successful business strategy has grown the blue chip asset by 11.5 per cent over the two years of her management.
Part of that strategy is the encouragement of relationships – between tenants themselves, and between tenants and building management.
