In September 1994, with just $5,000 in savings, Patrick PK Ng established telecommunications carrier Global Dial.
Selling real estate on the weekend to fund the expansion of Global Dial, Mr Ng has grown the business to the point where it now employs 34 staff.
The company ranked number 10 with 162.72 per cent growth in Business Review Weekly’s Fast100, which recognises Australia’s fastest growing small and medium enterprises and the people behind them.
Mr Ng is also a campaigner for poverty-stricken women and children in Thailand, and so far has sponsored 10 children and makes frequent visits to the slums of Bangkok as part of his work.
