40under40 Winner - Gregory Peters

Gregory Peters is responsible, as managing director of Antiskid Industries, for introducing an innovative road-surfacing product to WA with the claim that it would reduce rear-end crashes by up to 50 per cent.

Following lengthy investigations by WA Department of Main Roads, five small sections were installed at several key intersections in the City of Cockburn.

The product has since proven itself in quality and reputation and Antiskid Industries, under Mr Peters’ management, has established a new arm of the business focusing on road safety systems.

A contract between Antiskid Industries and Main Roads signed in 2003 for the product’s use was the first of its kind and the largest ever in the Southern Hemisphere.

Mr Peters has also committed Antiskid Industries to using newer and safer, environmentally friendly products, rather than harsh and sometimes dangerous chemical substances used in the construction industry.
