Gary Cox entered the Wray and Associates partnership before his 30th birthday and four years later became chairman of partners while studying a law degree part time. He joined Wray and Associates to develop and promote biotechnological patent law against the advice from colleagues who said there was no market in WA. It has since developed a strong niche in WA and has international clients on the books.
Mr Cox has successfully defended company patents before the Australian Patent Office and in the Federal Court of Australia and has been retained by one of the world’s largest biotechnology companies, Amgen Inc, as an Australian representative counsel.
