Chris Farquhar established Wired City in 1999 after returning from a stint working for major US software developer, OSI Software.
After developing the company’s flagship product, ‘IT Monitor’, Mr Farquhar utilised his relationship with OSI to secure a partnership deal and sold the company to OSI in 2001, enabling the accelerated development of the product. However, he was able to negotiate a partnership that allowed Wired City to retain its R&D and software development division in Perth, and also act as one of OSI’s global support centres. Under Mr Farquhar’s guidance, Wired City has positioned itself to enter new markets in the Asia Pacific.
