A $3,000 loan to a friend to help start up a youth travel magazine threw Brian Leedman into the deep end of the publications industry.
Taking over the reins after his partner struggled to get returns, Mr Leedman turned the magazine around in 12 months, increasing the print run to 20,000 and pulling in $45,000 in sales revenue per issue.
After selling the business, Mr Leedman resumed his marketing career, joining Ernst & Young to head up its Perth marketing team, where he is involved in the marketing management of large projects and the implementation of national marketing campaigns at a regional level.
