Kevin Gallagher is responsible for planning offshore well operations throughout Australia. While a supervising drilling engineer in 2001 he was appointed the MODU team leader at a time when the level of drilling activity at Woodside had increased from one drilling rig at one time to three. In 2002 Mr Gallagher and his team achieved a great deal of success, including drilling the longest hole section in Australia in a 24-hour period, drilling the first well in the North West Shelf in under 10 days, and the deepest water well drilled in Australia.
