$35m in school building contracts

Emco Building has won an $11.1 million contract from the Department of Education to build additional teaching facilities at Ashdale College in Darch.

The Ashdale College facility was one of several year seven integration projects awarded this month.

They follow the state government's decision to relocate year seven from the primary school system into the secondary school system.

This was in addition to Emco’s $10.8 million construction deal in September for the development of year seven classrooms at John Curtin High School in Fremantle.

Esslemont Cockram won an $8.2 million tender to build new teaching facilities at Churchlands Senior High School.

Pyramid Constructions won a $7.6 million contract to add year seven facilities as well as a music centre at Mount Lawley Senior High School.

Robinson Build-Tech won deals to construct an additional two-storey teaching block at West Leederville Primary School and a new sports hall at Mindarie Senior College, costing $3.8 million and $4.2 million respectively.
