ADVERTISING agency 303 has won the Campaign Brief agency of the year award – the sixth time it has held the Western Australian crown. It’s been a big year for the agency, winning the Cash Converters account and Sydney-based TravelCorp as well as Western Force, Queensland Health, Perth Education City and a project for BHP Billiton. Emerging agency Meerkats came a close second, though one of its founders, WA industry stalwart Mike Edmonds, picked up the Ad Person of the Year award, adding to his previous win in 1989. Mr Edmonds left the creative director’s role at Marketforce in 2004 to establish Meerkats with brand planner Ronnie Duncan.
