ST John of God Health Care has welcomed a major investment in its Timor-Leste (East Timor) nursing development program.
Oil and gas producer ConocoPhillips and its co-venturers in the Bayu-Undan project in the Timor Sea have collectively donated $US250,000 to the program. The funding will be used to facilitate training placements for Timorese nurses at some of Australia’s best hospitals as well as hospital-wide training at Dili’s national hospital.
St John of God Health Care became involved in health care in Timor-Leste in 2004 through the national pathology development program.
