Tony Howarth

Anthony (Tony) Howarth is a prominent Perth-based company director. His roles include chairman of MMA Offshore (formerly known as Mermaid Marine Australia), and a non-executive director of Wesfarmers, BWP Trust and Alinta Energy. Mr Howarth has previously held the positions of managing director of Challenge Bank, chief executive officer of Hartleys, chairman of Alinta, deputy chairman of the Bank of Queensland, a non-executive director of AWB, and chairman of Home Building Society. Mr Howarth is currently chairman of St John of God Health Care, an adjunct professor (financial management) and deputy chair of the UWA Business School board and on the UWA Senate. He was formerly chair of the Committee for Perth and a council member of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA, and past president of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr Howarth is currently a member of the Rio Tinto WA Future Fund and the WA Rugby Union.
