Tony Crook
Tony Crook moved to a Goldfields region of Western Australia in 1976 where he owned and ran a sheep station south of Kalgoorlie for 30 years.

Mr Crook served as a councillor, director and chair of Royal Flying Doctor Service Western Operations; and was national president of the RFDS. He was also a board member and chair of St Mary’s Primary School and John Paul College along with other community organisations including the Eastern Goldfields Highland Dance Association, Goldfields Equestrian Centre, Goldfields Foundation and the Golden Mile Loopline Railway Society.

Mr Crook was the Federal Member for O’Connor from 2010 to 2013 and chaired the Goldfields Esperance Development Commission. After Federal Parliament, he worked as a consultant for mining companies on major infrastructure initiatives in the Central Desert and Northern Goldfields.

Mr Crook was awarded the Centenary Medal for Services to Emergency Medicine; was named Kalgoorlie-Boulder Citizen of the Year and Kalgoorlie-Boulder CCI Citizen of the Year; and honoured with Life Membership of the RFDS.
