Tina Chinery has extensive experience within the Western Australia health care system, where she has held senior roles across acute care, public health and the aged care sectors. She has also been involved in a number of system-wide health service reforms, and has overseen the development and commissioning of regional hospitals and tertiary hospitals.
Ms Chinery started her career as a nurse. She then spent over 20 years in senior executive roles including as regional director for WA Country Health Service (WACHS), chief operating officer of WACHS (South), executive director of commissioning at Perth Children’s Hospital (WA Health), and chief executive of Cairns Hinterland Hospital and Health Service in March 2020. She returned to Perth in July 2022 following her appointment as chief executive of St John of God Subiaco Hospital.
