Peter Canterbury

Peter Canterbury is a highly regarded senior mining executive with significant knowledge of the bulk commodity industry, particularly in bauxite and alumina. Prior to joining Bauxite Resources Mr Canterbury spent six years with Sundance Resources as their chief financial officer. In this role he was responsible for the management of the African operations of Sundance, the negotiations of the Mbalam Mining Convention which was signed in November 2012 and led the company following the company's tragic accident in June 2010. Between 2001 and 2007, Mr Canterbury was the CFO of Dadco Europe which owns the Stade Alumina refinery in Germany and a share in the CBG bauxite mine in Guinea. During his time there he was responsible for finance, commerce and logistics. Earlier in his career he held several senior positions with Alcoa World Alumina in the finance, marketing and projects area in Australia and overseas. Mt Canterbury has a Bachelor of Business (Chisholm Institute/Monash University). He is as CPA with CPA Australia.
