Matthew McNeilly has more than 25 years’ experience in the provision of corporate advice and funds management, primarily in real estate, banking and turnaround situations. Mr McNeilly previously established the Perth office of investment house Grant Samuel (2000-2009), where over a period of almost a decade he built its corporate real estate, property finance and advisory businesses into market leaders and established the GS Property Capital Fund, a profitable wholesale capital fund focussed on Western Australian real estate development opportunities. During the 1990s, he was an executive director of an international real estate advisor (1996-2000) specialising in business turnarounds and real estate portfolio work-outs, including asset repositioning and the sale of non-performing loans for large European based property companies and financial institutions. He was also employed by Securum (1994-1996), the global asset manager set up by the Swedish Government to work out problem loans of behalf of Nordbanken. Mr McNeilly started his career as an accountant in Perth with KPMG (1989-1990) and prior to that, Arthur Andersen (1987-1989).
