Lisa Rodgers has held numerous roles in the education sector in Australia and New Zealand, including senior roles in New Zealand’s Ministry of Education. Since 2016, Ms Rodgers has been chief executive of the Australian Institute of Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL). Prior to joining AITSL, she was the deputy secretary of early learning & student achievement and deputy secretary of evidence, data & knowledge in the Ministry of Education in New Zealand. With over 15 years of experience in education, Ms Rodgers has led significant reforms in assessment innovation, curriculum and the use of evidence for impact at the classroom and national level. She also held several other substantial posts in justice, health, serving in the British Army, as well as lecturing and leading research in child mental health at the University of Wales.
