Leith Ayres has more than 20 years' experience in dispute resolution and insolvency matters. Mr Ayres works with some of Australia’s largest financial institutions and insolvency practitioners. His practice encompasses many areas of corporate finance including financial services, structured finance, and business structuring, but he is a specialist in insolvency and reconstruction. A successful litigator, Mr Ayres acts in relation to receiverships, liquidations, administrations, mortgage enforcement issues and bankruptcies. His dispute resolution expertise also covers contractual disputes and civil claims, debt recovery and security enforcement. Mr Ayres also advises on directors' duties, distressed debt trading and acquisitions, turnarounds or workouts, and voluntary administration. He regularly acts in, and conducts, insolvency and general commercial proceedings in the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the Federal Court of Australia. His banking clients include NAB, Commonwealth Bank, Westpac, BankWest, St George and ANZ.
