Kingsley Faulkner

Professor Kingsley Faulkner AM is a graduate of UWA, trained in surgery and an academic staff of the School of Medicine at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle. He was head of the Department of General Surgery at SCGH from 1994-2001 and has treated many patients with cancer. Prof Faulkner held leading roles with the Australian Council on Smoking and Health (ACOSH) over a 30-year period. Following election to Council of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), he served as president from 2001 to 2003 and is chair of Foundation for Surgery at RACS. Prof Faulkner received a Member of the Order of Australia award in 2006 for service to medicine.
