An engineer by background, Kevin Brown was head of North Queensland Airport Group, which operates Cairns and Mackay airports, before being appointed in 2016 to succeed Brad Geatches as chief executive of Perth Airport.
Prior to his senior role in Australia, he spent nine years with the British Airport Authority, during which time he served as managing director of Edinburgh International Airport.
In recent years he has also been involved at board level with regional development group Advance Cairns, Cairns Indigenous Arts Fair and Tourism Tropical North Queensland (alternative board member). He was also a member of the Queensland Premier's Business Advisory Forum in 2014 and 2015.
