John Young

John Young is a experienced geologist having been engaged on exploration and production projects encompassing gold, uranium and specialty metals including tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum and lithium.

From 2002 to 2006, Mr Young was exploration manager for Haddington Resources and was responsible for resource exploration and resource definition for their Bald Hill Tantalum mine. His corporate experience included appointments as chief executive of Marenica Energy (January 2009 to November 2011), and chief executive and director of Thor Mining (June 2006- June 2009). Mr Young has held senior management and operational positions at Arrow Resources Management (management arm of Rothschild). He was managing director of Sturt Resources from December 2011 to June 2013 when it became part of Pilbara Minerals.
