John Georgiou

John Georgiou has more than 30 years of experience in the construction and property development management industry. Upon his appointment as chief executive in 1998, he consolidated the operational activities of Direct Drainage, Roadpave Australia and Geocrete into one entity - Georgiou Group. His extensive experience in business development, strategic planning and organisational development has resulted in the company’s steady growth and geographical expansion into the East Coast of Australia. Mr Georgiou stepped down as the group's chief executive in 2018, but remained in an active role as chairman until leaving the board in January 2026, a little over a year after the family sold the company.
