Dennis Jensen
Dr Dennis Jensen was the Member for Tangney, Western Australia for the Liberal Party of Australia from 2004 to 2016. He lost Liberal pre-selection for the 2016 federal election and subsequently resigned from the party to stand as an independent. In August 2017, he joined the fledgling Australian Conservatives party.
Dr Jensen was a research scientist at CSIRO and DST (an agency of the Department of Defence) prior to entering politics. He is known for questioning the anthropogenic causation of climate change. Since leaving politics, he has consulted to several mining groups and was the founding managing director of Broken Hill Alliance.
Mr Jensen has a Masters in Science from Melbourne University and a PhD from Monash University.
