David Flanagan

David Flanagan founded Atlas Iron in 2004 and was a key figure in the company serving in roles as managing director and chair until leaving in 2016. He now oversees Battery Minerals. Prior to his time with Atlas Mr Flanagan, who is a trained geologist, was exploration manager with Gindalbie Gold. He is a former non-executive director of Shaw River Manganese, in which Atlas held a significant interest. Mr Flanagan also serves in the prestigious role of chancellor of Murdoch University. Mr Flanagan was the recipient of the 2009 Business News40under40 First Amongst Equals award.
