Carolyn Hewson AO is a former investment banker with over 30 years of experience in the finance sector.
She was previously executive director of Schroders Australia and has financial markets, risk management and investment management expertise. Ms Hewson is a former director of BT Investment Management, Westpac Banking Corporation, AMP, CSR, AGL Energy, Australian Gas Light Company, South Australian Water, and the Economic Development Board of South Australia.
She is a member of Federal Government Growth Centre's advisory committee, director of Stockland Group, trustee of Westpac Foundation, and member of Australian Federal Government Financial Systems Inquiry.
She was also former member of the Advisory Board of Nanosonics, former director of BT Investment Management, former director of Australian Charities Fund Operations, former director and patron of the Neurosurgical Research Foundation, former trustee and chairman of Westpac Buckland Fund and chair of Westpac Matching Gifts, and former director of Westpac Banking Corporation.
In 2009, Ms Hewson was awarded an Officer of the Order of Australia for services to the community through support for charitable organisations, particularly YWCA, and to business.
