Bill Tai is a global venture capitalist who spends part of the year in Perth. Bill Tai established the Silicon Valley office for CRV and is a Partner Emeritus backing Scribd and Wish.com on CRV's behalf. As an individual he is a Founding Chairman of Treasure Data, Inc, a Board Director of BitFury and Voxer as well a lead seed investor in Canva, Shoes of Prey, Tango.me, Tweetdeck/Twitter, and Zoom.us. Previously Mr Tai served as Partner at IVP and was Founding CEO of iAsiaWorks. He was also Founding Chairman of IPinfusion (Tokyo:4813) and past Board Director of 7 publicly listed companies: AWRD EGHT IAWK NPIX TMTA TUNE and IMGO that grew from his startup investing. He holds a BSEE with Honors from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Harvard. He serves on the World Economic Forum's Technology Pioneer Committee is an Adjunct Professor of Innovation at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia and is co-founder of MaiTai Global, which is dedicated to preserving the ocean and its related ecosystems.
