Adam Santa Maria founded corporate finance and advisory house Affinity Capital Group in 2022.
Mr Santa Maria has held numerous listed board and executive roles including chief executive and chair of Acacia Coal, interim chair of Sparc Technologies, director of Future Battery Minerals (formerly Auroch Minerals) and general counsel and company secretary of Matrix Composites & Engineering. He has also served as a board member of the West Australian Opera.
Mr Santa Maria was previously a lawyer at Allens and admitted to practice in the Supreme Courts of Western Australia and Victoria, and the High Court of Australia, before moving into corporate finance where he executed a number of IPOs, M&A transactions and secondary capital raisings.
Mr Santa Maria was a founder of Discovery Capital Partners and Spark-Co Lab, bringing Stanford University’s medical research innovation and commercialisation programmes to Perth.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Commerce from UWA, a Master of Finance and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Oxford. He has previously completed the Emerging Leaders programme at the Harvard Kennedy School and is a 2021 WA Business News 40under40 winner and Justice of the Peace for Western Australia.
