Yawuru Native Title Holders Aboriginal Corporation

Yawuru Native Title Holders Aboriginal Corporation holds the native title claim of the Yawuru people. The Yawuru people are the native title holders of the Western Australian town of Broome, including pockets of land and sea in and around the townsite.

Nyamba Buru Yawuru, meaning ‘This is the place of Yawuru’, manages the day to day business of the Yawuru Corporate Group. It is engaged in diverse activities ranging from enterprise development, land management, community development, language maintenance and cultural revival.

The Yawuru Corporate Group has commercial interests in Roebuck Plains pastoral station, commercial property, residential property development and other enterprises that are key to the economic development of the Broome region.
