Transborders Energy is an oil and gas services company that hopes to accelerate the monetisation of a range of discovered but stranded gas resources. Transborders Energy is planning a floating gas liquefaction vessel concept that will be much smaller than the first wave of FLNG projects.
The vessel will produce about 1.2 million tonnes annually of liquefied gas, with the intention of making marginal and stranded gas reserves commercial.
The company’s project was given major project status by the federal government in May 2018.
Transborders is privately owned and based in Perth CBD.
TechnipFMC and ADD Energy are two of the company’s partners.
