Mrs Mac's is a family-owned food production business best known for its meat pies and sausage rolls.
Originally known as Bakewell Pies, the company has been owned and managed by three generations of the Macgregor family, after being started by Ken Macgregor in 1954. Ken handed the business over to his son Iain Macgregor, who ran Mrs Mac’s until his death in 2013. Third generation Rob Macgregor worked alongside Iain for 15 years. Rob and his sister Kate Macgregor) still actively participate in the business as non-executive board members.
Mrs Mac’s head office and production are in Morley and it has a 5,000 pallet cold storage facility in Hazelmere. The company has a team of more than 350 across Australia and New Zealand and spends more than $20 million per annum on WA wages and salaries.
More than 85 per cent of ingredients are sourced in WA, including 2800 tonnes per annum of WA beef and 4800 tonnes per annum of flour sourced from WA wheat. The company spends more than $30 million per annum on purchases from WA suppliers.
