Kimberley Agricultural Investment is a private Australian company owned by Chinese property developer Shanghai Zhingfu. It was selected in 2012 as the preferred proponent to develop 13,400 hectares of land in the Ord River irrigation area.
Its long-term goal is to develop a sugar mill near Kununurra, subject to obtaining at least 30,000ha of farm land.
