Glencore has operated in Australia for over 20 years and holds significant interests in a range of commodity industries, including 25 mines, across all mainland states and the Northern Territory.
In Western Australia, Glencore exports about 15% of WA's wheat production. Glencore is also one of Australia’s largest nickel and cobalt producers with the Murrin Murrin hydrometallurgical nickel project located between Leonora and Laverton in the north-eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia. Murrin Murrin is operated by Minara Resources, wholly owned by Glencore.
