Gascoyne Gateway was established in 2019 to pursue the development of a single jetty deep-water port near Exmouth. In June 2020, Gascoyne Gateway was awarded 'Lead Agency Status' as a project of state significance by the premier.
The construction of the multi-user deep-water port and renewable hub in Exmouth is expected to commence in mid 2023 and be operational by early 2025.
