FMR Investments is an investment organisation with interest predominantly in the mining and mining related industries. The company was founded in 1989 by Peter Bartlett and was formerly known as Barminco Pty Ltd, originally trading as specialist underground mining contractors until it divested and then sold the contracting business, Barminco Limited to private equity firm Gresham in August 2007.
Today, FMR Investments has branched into other areas of business in addition to its mining portfolio including land development and property investments; specialist aeroplane fabrication and aerial incendiary technology; toll milling for gold ; steel fabrication and ball mill manufacturing and equipment and business finance.
The mining interest of FMR Investments is located at the Gordon Sirdar mining tenements in Kalgoorlie, WA and at the Eloise Copper Mine in Queensland. The gold mill is located at Greenfields in Coolgardie and operates as a toll miller for a number of clients.
