Cockatoo Island Mining is a private company established in August 2018 to acquire and develop a portfolio of mining tenements across Cockatoo, Irvine and Bathurst Islands in Western Australia’s Buccaneer Archipelago.
The company completed the acquisition of these tenements in October 2020 and has focused on advancing its iron ore operations on Cockatoo Island.
In July 2026, the company entered administration, with KordaMentha appointed as administrators to oversee its operations.
