In 2004, Australian Transit Group began in 2004, with the acquisition of the Prior Group of companies – consisting of Mandurah Bus Charter, Fortesque Bus Services and various school bus contracts in the Kojonup, Mt Barker and Boyup Brook regions.
The following year, ATG purchased Kalamunda Bus Services and Carnarvon Bus Charters.
Since that time, numerous acquisitions have been made. ATG now owns and operates over 1,000 buses around Australia. The company has also expanded beyond buses, with the acquisition of Pilbara Car and Truck Rental.
