New York Stock Exchange-listed Albemarle Corporation is a US specialty chemicals provider. The business has a half stake in the Greenbushes lithium minet through Talison Lithium, with the remainder owned by Chinese company Tianqi Lithium. The mine is the largest lithium mine in the world.
As of January 2018, the company has been exploring building a lithium processing plant in Kemerton.
