A surprise Easter gift has landed for Red Metal Limited shareholders after the company proposed an in-specie distribution of the majority of its 35.2 per cent stake in Maronan Metals. Eligible holders will receive one Maronan share for every 5.25 Red Metal shares held on May 14. The move creates a win-win, allowing Red Metal to focus on its massive Sybella rare earths discovery in northwest Queensland.

Duggan, who is already the company's chief executive officer, is a mining engineer and finance professional with more than 10 years of experience across multi-commodity underground and open pit operations, including at Rio Tinto.
