NRW wins new work worth $57m

NRW Holdings has announced it has recently won $57 million worth of contracts through its Action Drill & Blast subsidiary, for work on five coal mines on the east coast.

In a brief statement today, NRW said the contracts included a mix of new awards and contract extensions.

They included drilling services for Idemitsu Australia Resources Group’s Boggabri and Muswellbrook coal mines, and similar work for Macmahon Holdings and Golding Contractors at the Byerwen and Broadlea coal mines (respectively).

It also included a drilling services contract at the Collinsville coal mine for Glencore.

The contract wins follow news yesterday that NRW had been named the preferred proponent for a $300 million mining services contract at Gascoyne Resources’ Dalgaranga project in WA.

“The award of the above new contracts and extensions further establishes Action Drill & Blast as a leading contractor in the Australian coal mining industry, building on Action’s acquisition of Hughes Drilling in late 2016,” NRW said in a statement.

Shares in NRW were 3.9 per cent higher to $1.23 each at 10:30am.
