Michael Finnegan-led Macmahon Holdings will return to New Zealand in October, after securing a contract with Endura Mining.
Under the five-year deal, valued at around $406.2 million, Macmahon’s wholly owned subsidiary Macmahon New Zealand will provide a range of underground mining services at Endura’s Snowy River gold mine within New Zealand’s South Island.
Works, which will begin in October, will include backfill, mine development and production-based operations.
“Our long-term contract highlights Macmahon’s underground mining capabilities and establishes the company as a key partner to advance the project towards production,” Mr Finnegan said.
Endura is eying off first gold at Snowy River in December, which is expected to produce in excess of 60,000 ounces of gold over a 10-year period.
Macmahon, which generated $1.3 billion in revenue during its first half, will release its FY26 results next Tuesday.
As 9.50am AWST, Macmahon shares were up 1 per cent to $1.02.
