Ikon Communications has confirmed it is closing the Perth office and will handle the demands of its local clients from Sydney and Melbourne.

Ikon Communications has confirmed it is closing the Perth office and will handle the demands of its local clients from Sydney and Melbourne.

The agency entered the Western Australian market in 2010 and bolstered its capacity in the state last year after winning the Bankwest media buying account.

All of Bankwest's media accounts are now handled on the east coast with Sydney-based firm HOST looking after the creative account.

It had also been working with RAC but lost that account in August 2013.

It’s understood the Bankwest account will be handled from the Sydney office.

The decision to close the Perth office was confirmed by Ikon director Novak Drazevich.

It follows the departure of former Brand Agency director Erin Corner. Ms Corner left Ikon in September last year after more than two years as managing director of the company.
