Perth-based Harvest Technology Group has entered a major partnership after signing up to a global reseller agreement with IT service provider Speedcast Australia.

Under the agreement, Harvest will resell its low bandwidth, optimised livestreaming solutions to Speedcast, which will use Harvest’s technology to provide remote communications services to customers across the maritime, mining and telecommunications sectors.

Paul Guilfoyle, Harvest’s managing director, said the agreement would expand the group’s sales capabilities and play an integral part in the company’s strategy to expand into new markets.

Speedcast vice president Jeffrey Irwin said the partnership with Harvest would align with the company’s vision to continually innovate for its customers.

“Adding Harvest’s world-leading, ultra-low bandwidth livestreaming solutions to our portfolio enables our customers across industries to enhance operational efficiencies, strengthen worker safety, and realise cost savings,” he said.

“The combination of our ultra-low bandwidth technology and Speeedcast’s impressive network will bolster its global network platform providing fully connected systems that transform remote operations.”

This binding agreement is for an initial term of 12 months with the option for annual renewals.

Harvest’s shares were trading at 40 cents at 1:30pm AEDT.
