What? ~ Buy flowers online, easily. In an otherwise crowded marketplace, this new e-commerce store tries to reduce clicks required and make it as easy as possible to for men to use. A subscription model will be rolled out in late 2016, which will enable users to pre-order flower deliveries on important dates such as birthdays, anniversaries and Valentine’s Day.

Where? ~ www.flowerbros.com.au

Who? ~ Co-founders James Garnaut and Jay Hollywood are experienced digital marketing professionals, including at digital agency Humaan. The flowers have been styled and are arranged by a local Perth florist.

Quote? ~ Not that we exclude women, but we wanted to build an online florist that men felt comfortable using. We found the existing sites were terrible. This meant our new brand and entire user experience had to be familiar, easy, a bit fun, and fast

-James Garnaut

News/Market ~ The business aims to engage with florists throughout Australia to facilitate entering those markets. The search volume for flowers online is greatest in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and Messrs Garnaut and Hollywood are planning to enter these markets next.

FlowerBros launched in Perth on April 21 2016 and are ranked #2 in BNiQ Startups List.
