East Perth's Restaurant Amuse has taken out the coveted Restaurant of the Year prize at the 2011 Western Australian Restaurant and Catering Awards for Excellence.

East Perth's Restaurant Amuse has taken out the coveted Restaurant of the Year prize at the 2011 Western Australian Restaurant and Catering Awards for Excellence.

Jetty's Restaurant at Hillary's won the consumer vote category, and the Bill Thompson memorial medal.

The George Mure award went to AEG Ogden and the Tate Family Awartds went to Fraser's Restaurant in Kings Park.

Caterer of the year went to Mustard Catering, while Friends Restaurant's Clyde Bevan was inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The Loose Box' Alain Fabregues received a lifetime achievement award.

Separately, WAMMCO, the West Australian Meat Marketing Cooperative, won the 'Best From The West' award for 2011 in the PricewaterhouseCoopers Food and Beverage Industry Awards.

The lamb processor was awarded the top prize for a refit of its Katanning processing plant. WAMMCO was eligible for the overall prize after winning the Innovation category.

Other recipients included:

- Best Service to Industry Award - Jaymak Perth;

- Best Food Product or Achievement Award - Sticky Fingers Gourmet Foods;

- Best Retail Product Award - Il Gelato;

- Excellence in Supply Chain Award - Catalano's Seafood Secrets;

- Best Marketing Award - Mrs Mac's; and

- Environment and Sustainability Award - Perth Market Authority.
