Griffin Coal Mining Company (Griffin Coal) is Western Australia’s oldest coal company. It produces over 5 million tonnes of coal annually.
As an energy supplier, Griffin Coal is a significant provider of coal to the domestic market and the largest individual supplier of coal to Western Australia’s industrial coal market.
Its operations are based in Collie, located approximately 220 kilometres south east of Perth, Western Australia.
In January 2011, Griffin Coal was acquired by Indian firm Lanco Infratech.
